                 PLATINUM  TOO

Shown in the photo are some of the members of  "Platinum Too" Water Aerobics class of Rangely Recreation Center.  The class is free to Seniors.  Others under 62  attending the class pays only $1.00 user fee per class.  The great rates are thanks to the Volunteer Involvement Program funded by ExxonMobil Foundation, the primary philanthropic arm of Exxon Mobil Corporation. Ann Adams is the instructor for the class and her husband, Johnny Adams, is an ExxonMobil employee at Piceance Creek.

The Volunteer Involvement Program seeks to encourage employees, retirees, and other eligible participants to actively contribute their time and talent to charitable organizations in their local community by providing contributions on their behalf. The intent of this program is to encourage volunteerism to worthwhile charitable activities in the community, rather than to provide large sums of money to organizations.   A $500 grant per quarter is awarded to a charitable, nonprofit organization after an eligible participant or Team volunteers at least 20 hours of their time to the organization during the quarter for up to 4 grants per calendar year.  Volunteer service, activities and projects have to be consistent with ExxonMobil's  pledge to be a good corporate citizen and support important societal goals including education, health and human services, and the environment.

Platinum Too meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.  The class is energetic aerobic activity with music  in the shallow part of the pool , but water jogging belts are available if you don't swim.  Come and give it a try!  It's a great workout for all ages, and you can participate at your own level.
